Local Service Opportunities
DPE is partnered with a variety of local nonprofits and organizations. We aim for our members to demonstrate a serving learning perspective when engaging in philanthropy as we work on expanding our impact on Los Angeles communities.
Below are past events we have hosted!
DPE x Starts With One Today: Food and clothing handout for unhoused individuals on Skid Row.
DPE x Garden School Foundation: Supported the upkeep of 24th Street School’s community garden. This garden plays an essential role in their community as it gives many local children access to green areas and fresh produce.
DPE x APO for the Downtown Women’s Center: We collaborated with Alpha Phi Omega to learn about period poverty and assemble hygiene kits for the Downtown Women’s Center.
DPE x Madhatter Knits: We collaborate with Madhatter Knits to make hats for preemies residing in NICUs within local LA hospitals.
DPE x A Place Called Home: APCH is an organization supporting low-income youth in South LA to achieve social, emotional, and economic success. We supported them in the execution of their Halloween community event.
DPE x BPX for the Cedars Sinai Non-Profit Hospital: We worked with Beta Rho Chi to learn about childhood cancer and make care kits for child patients in the PICU.
